TOBS is a very old and recognized company out of London England.

They started business in the shaving cream industry in 1854.

So you can say that they have a little bit of experience in what they do.

I really like the packaging that this shaving cream came in.

The Scent

This is something that really stood out to me.

I own over a dozen Sandalwood shaving creams and soaps and this is hands-down my favorite one.

It is kind of hard to explain the exact scent that comes from the tub.

I would say that there is a hint of citrus tones as well as a hint of mint.

It feels cooler on my face than most Sandalwood shaving creams.

That being said, it is a powerful scent so for people that are looking for something a little bit milder or that have extremely sensitive skin, this might not be the best shaving cream.

If that is the case, they also have a shaving cream for sensitive skin that works just as well but is a little lighter for the skin!

The Latherability

It feels like most body lotions do and it is extremely easy to take out and apply to your shaving brush.

This is definitely one of the easier shaving creams that I own to lather up to a nice thick, rich cream that has a great volume to it.

It is definitely denser and more slick compared to other shaving creams that I own.

The ability to build up to a nice lather is one of the most important factors when it comes to soaps and creams and Taylor Old Bond Street shaving cream has this trait in spades.

Don’t forget, it is also important to have one of the best shaving brushes to achieve a great lather.

The Performance

One of the most important criteria for performance in Taylor Old Bond Street shaving cream sandalwood shaving cream in my opinion is how slick the lather is and whether or not I could come back to touch up without applying more lather to my face.

This is definitely one of the slickest shaving creams that I own.

It leaves my face nice and slick after all of my shaving passes.

I am able to come back for touchups without applying too much shaving cream which is definitely beneficial to me.

The only thing that I did notice is a slight burning sensation.

It is nothing that is too big but for individuals with sensitive skin, it might be a bigger issue.

The Longevity

I would say that this tub of TOBS is in the middle of the road in terms of longevity.

If you are a daily shaver it should last you approximately 9 months.

I say this is about average.

I think most people overuse this product and their supply dwindles a lot faster than it needs to.

Overall it is a little bit more expensive per ounce at approximately 3 dollars.

Also, I noticed that my skin is slightly dry after my shaves with Taylor Old Bond Street shaving cream.

This may be due to the burning sensation that I feel or it might not.

Either way, in this Taylor Old Bond Street shaving cream review, I suggest using a quality lotion post-shave.

Their other scents perform the same way as well as lather the same way.

The only difference is the way that they smell.
