The shoe provides remarkable support, especially laterally. We also found the venting in the sole to provide excellent breathability. One caveat, the shoes tend to run a little on the small side, so we suggest buying one size up, especially for those with wider feet.

We wore these shoes for a long while to test them out and see if they were as comfy as they looked. It turns out they are! These shoes offer excellent comfort and support, and best of all, they’re machine washable so that you can keep them looking newer for longer.

Skechers employs a Comfort Pillar technology that rebounds fast and provides additional cushioning and support for a soft, bouncy step. The dual-density rubber outsole delivers exceptional traction and stability, keeping you sure on your feet no matter what sort of surface you find underfoot.

14. Adidas Men’s Advantage Tennis Shoe

Adidas is a brand known across the globe for its exceptional sports footwear and apparel. The brand is worn by professional athletes around the world, and it is easy to see why such high-performance individuals prefer these shoes; they deliver quality, durability, versatility, support, and comfort. 

The Adidas Men’s Advantage Tennis Shoe is an excellent example of the premium sports footwear offered by the brand; if we saw Gael Monfils wearing a pair of these, we wouldn’t be surprised.

Who is it Best for? 

If you’re looking for a pair of court shoes designed for fashion wear, then you’ve just found them. While not designed as much for wear on the court as fashionable footwear, these shoes offer excellent support and comfort. 

After wearing these shoes on and off for a few weeks, we found them to be very comfortable, not surprising for an Adidas shoe. The minimalist design and perforated three-stripe logo design made the shoes easy to pair with a selection of outfits, making them versatile and functional. 

The overall quality of the shoe left us impressed too. The leather upper is durable without being stiff. Where we felt Adidas could improve these shoes is in the tongue; it is a little puffy and, at times, can be uncomfortable.

To combat sweating and increase ventilation, the brand has imprinted its iconic three-stripe logo on the side of each shoe in the form of many small perforations, transforming the function into a design element. These holes allow fresh air to circulate through the shoe, keeping your feet cool and preventing them from sweating and becoming odorous. 

A Cloud foam cushioned insole sock liner provides you with cushioning inside the shoe. This cloud foam then, with time, molds to the shape of your foot to deliver a personalized fit. These shoes feature a low-profile design that improves the style of the shoe.

Bronax is a brand that specializes in men’s sports and fashion sneakers. What sets this brand’s footwear apart from other retailers is that Bronax designs its shoes with vibrant and fashionable graffiti designs and color block patterning that is modern and fun.

These shoes scored top points from us for multiple reasons. The arch support is excellent, and combined with the soft cushioning of the midsole; the shoes make a great choice for anyone with feet that need a little extra support and comfort. 

We tried these sneakers out on the court too. They are a little too flexible and lack the support to be good court shoes but work very well as jogging shoes.

Adidas is one of, if not the most well-known sports shoe and apparel brands in the world. Having spent nearly 100 years fine-tuning its knowledge about what athletes want most out of a premium quality shoe and the technology and innovative designs used to produce this footwear. 

While Adidas makes exceptional sports shoes, the brand also uses this same technology to create fashion footwear, such as the Adidas Men’s Grand Court Se Tennis Shoe.

Who is it Best for? 

If you want a pair of footwear that offers the style of a pair of 70s tennis shoes, then these are it. Adidas designs these shoes to look like that quintessential pair of shoes that your grandfather wore to weekly tennis matches. This look is unique and sees a clever twist on vintage style and modern technology. 

We gave the shoes a try for a few weeks and found them to be exceptionally comfortable. However, one caveat, these shoes run small and tend to be relatively narrow. If you have wider feet, you may want to test these out before purchasing them. 

The overall look and feel of the shoe are great, and we received many positive comments when wearing them.

These shoes from Adidas are made from PU-treated leather. This material is durable and resistant to water, making them ideal for outdoor wear. The uppers feature the iconic three-stripe Adidas logo on the side, so everyone can see your kicks are authentic. 

The inner comes with a Cloudfoam Comfort bootie that provides cushioning for your foot. This Cloudfoam molds to your foot with time to deliver a personalized fit. These shoes do take some time to wear in, though, and maybe a little hard at first. If you have a medical orthotic of your own that you would rather use, you can remove these sock liners and insert your own insole. 

The rubber sole offers great shock absorption and traction, keeping you firmly on your feet while protecting your feet and knees.

1. Materials

When buying a pair of tennis shoes, you will want to consider the materials used to make the shoes. Shoes made with high-quality materials that are best suited to the functionality of the shoe will ensure you end up with a pair that is both durable and comfortable. 

• EVA – Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate is a polymer often found in quality tennis shoes and is frequently used for the midsole of the shoe. This material features a soft, rubbery consistency which makes it excellent for cushioning, support, and shock absorbency. 
• Gel Cushioning – Gel cushioning is another technology found in the midsole of ASICS shoes. The brand injects a gel layer into the midsole of the shoe. It is this layer that adds bounce, cushioning, and shock absorbency to the shoe. 
• Leather – Leather is a common choice for sports shoes as it allows for the shoe to mold to your foot with time, and it is water-resistant. Leather is often used for the uppers of the shoe and will come with ventilation holes for breathability.
• PU Leather – Is often used for cheaper tennis shoes. It is relatively durable but not nearly as durable as genuine leather. PU is also not breathable at all, so you will need to check if the shoes come with ventilation. If they don’t, you could end up with hot, sweaty, and smelly feet. 
• Breathable Mesh – Breathable mesh is one of the best materials used for sports shoes. It features layers of mesh that sit over a breathable sock liner. This mesh allows air to flow into the shoe and circulate your foot. This then regulates the temperature of your feet, ensuring they remain cool and prevents them from sweating and becoming odorous.

2. Support and Stability

Support and stability are essential when buying a pair of tennis shoes. The movement up and down and across the courts, and the need to stop in your tracks when you reach the ball, means you need a pair of shoes that carefully protects your feet and ankles. 

Support and stability come in the form of a padded tongue and heel collar and lateral bracing within the body of the shoe. Slightly cupped midsoles also provide excellent support, as do somewhat raised arches in the insole. 

Shoes that can be laced up also offer far better support, and they allow you to fit the shoe to your foot in a way that is firm but not too tight.

3. Breathability

Breathability in a sports shoe is essential. Without it, you will end up with hot, uncomfortable feet and sweaty, smelly shoes. 

Breathability is introduced into a shoe in various ways. Either venting in the form of perforations is included, or vents are created along the edges of the midsole. Alternatively, the upper of the shoe is made with breathable mesh, and air circulates through the fabric. 

Air circulation through the shoe is imperative to prevent your feet from becoming hot and sweaty and causing your shoe to become odorous.
